What our assessment does not cover

An assessment on the record has limits, and hiding them would be dishonest. It will not tell you how long a service actually takes to answer on a Tuesday evening, whether an app misbehaves on your model of phone, or how a claim goes when it goes wrong. It will tell you what the provider commits to, what it charges, under whose authority it operates — and where to check for yourself. See how we evaluate.

Information ages

Prices change, terms are amended, offers disappear. Every analysis carries the date on which its information was verified, and is revisited at a set interval — 90 days for financial services, 120 for travel, 180 for the other sections. Between two checks a gap is possible: before committing to anything, confirm the price and the terms on the provider’s own site, which alone is authoritative.

No warranty is given as to the permanent accuracy, completeness or relevance of the information published. In a dispute with a provider, the contract entered into with that provider governs, and the matter is settled between the customer and that provider.
